Hate crime is on the rise in Queens

As of November 4, NYPD reported of hate crime on the rise primarily anti-Semitic.

In Floral Park, there were multiple assaults on Hillside Avenue between 252 and 250 Streets involving hate crime. Harassment and attempted assaults were reported in Glen Oaks primarily 255 Street in the vicinity of 75 and 74th Avenues.

NYPD advises all to remain vigilance and always travel in groups in the area. According to FBI, hate crime rose to 17% nationwide in 2017 with over 7,000 incidents.
