Guaranteed income coming to NYC

Taxpayers need to work long hours starting in 2026.

Under the incoming NYC Mayor, a new program launched by the City Council for the 2026 budget to provide $15,800 as a guaranteed income as part of the program, Cash with Care.

This is under housing affordability where an individual is facing insecurity.

For now this is a pilot program to support the youths classified as homeless moving to housing with all the needs to get going.

The city selected the non profit Covenant House New York that will select up to 60 candidates by paying $1,200 for nine months between the age of 18 and 24 along with one time of a cool $5,000 bucks. It's all funded by taxpayers who don't mind. How much the non profits get is not disclosed. The next one is one time $1,800 for pregnant women under programs to start the next step and then more to more.

Next year more guaranteed income from taxpayers will be announced to keep the NYC government running with non profits.

All part of the affordability program campaigned by the incoming Mayor giving a victory to the new NYC starting in 2 days.

Affordability Wins. Yay!
