Gouverneur man arrested following child exploitation investigation

The New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit, in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Massena, and the Gouverneur Police Department arrested Robert J. Bush, age 50, of Gouverneur, New York, in connection with an investigation involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child exploitation.

 During the morning hours of October 6, 2026, members of the New York State Police and assisting agencies executed a search warrant at Bush’s residence in Gouverneur, New York. As a result of the investigation, Bush was arrested and charged with the following:

 1 count – New York State Penal Law 263.10 – Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child

 1 count – New York State Penal Law 263.11 – Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child

Bush was arraigned in the Town of Gouverneur Court and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
