Give a dollar for eight bucks free for upcoming election

With just 15 days to go for election for NYC Public Advocate, NYC Campaign Finance will report the matching funds for all candidates this week.

The matching fund is for $1 raised, candidates will qualify for $8 from the tax payer's fund totaling $9.

That's right, just give $1 and candidates gets $8 free.

If $50 is donated, matching fund is $450 and for $250 is $2,250.

The matching funds was introduced after many potential candidates unable to raise funds for campaigns rejecting from specific donors not compatible to their public interests.
