Geneva woman arrested for grand larceny during retail theft detail

The New York State Police in Canandaigua report the arrest of Tracey M. Vasquez-Woodhams, age 32, of Geneva, NY, following a retail theft investigation in Ontario County.

On March 19, 2026, members of the New York State Police Troop E Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) were participating in an organized retail theft detail at a business located on Recreation Drive in the Town of Hopewell.

During the detail, asset protection employees reported a female who was concealing merchandise inside the store. The individual subsequently passed all points of sale without paying for the items, which were valued at over $1,000.00.

The suspect exited the store and was taken into custody in the parking lot by responding Troopers. She was identified as Vasquez-Woodhams.

Vasquez-Woodhams was transported to SP Canandaigua, where she was processed without incident and charged with:

•    Grand Larceny 4th degree (E felony)

She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hopewell Court on April 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
