Garden City car jacking suspect busted

The NCPD reported the arrest of Patrick Blaszkiewicz, 33, accused of carjacking in Garden City. After the initial incident that occurred on December 9, 2020 at 10:30AM, the defendant was observed by Garden City Police Department operating the above vehicle on December 17 afternoon. Officers attempted to conduct a car stop and the defendant refused to comply. Blaszkiewicz was also involved in a minor auto accident while fleeing the police.

Defendant Blaszkiewicz is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Attempted Assault Upon a Police Officer, Unlawful Fleeing 3rd Degree and leaving the scene of an Accident. He will be arraigned on Friday, December 18, 2020 in Mineola.
