Former president of Lakeville Estates Civic Association is recuperating after attacked in Manhattan

Michael O'Donald, 75 of New Hyde Park and a retired NYPD detective was attacked by four male suspects on June 16 around 12:30am on West 28th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The perps took off with personal belongings after injuring him. O'Donald laid unconscious on the sidewalk until 2:40am when he woke up and EMS transported to Bellevue Hospital. He identified one suspect who was taken to the same hospital where O'Donald recognized him. The investigation is ongoing.
