Former Queens doctor facing 24 years for sexually abusing patients DA

Dr. Zhi Alan Cheng, 35, of Astoria, has been held without bail since his arrest in 2022 after he was accused of rape and assault against four hospital patients and four women at his apartment from 2020 to 2022. One of the victims from the hospital was 19 years old at the time.

According to evidence, Cheng would record himself assaulting the women both at the hospital and at his home. All of the women Cheng pleaded guilty to assaulting were either sedated or unconscious while the crimes were committed, with no or little memory of the events.
