Flushing man charged after deadly stabbing outside Queens restaurant

A 38-year-old individual has been accused of homicide for a fatal stabbing outside a restaurant in Queens.

Jose Rodriguez Balda, a resident of Flushing, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a weapon.

Balda allegedly stabbed Angel Marcelo Escalante Gamazo, 48, after a dispute outside Los Arrieros Restaurant on September 17 at 4 a.m.

The 48-year-old victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was declared dead.

An investigation is still in progress.
