Flushing landmark theater will remain partial after proposal was approved

Flushing - The former location of closed RKO Keith's Theater on Northern Blvd near Main Street in Flushing is planning a 16 floor glassy building with 269 condo apartments. The developer Xinyuan Real Estate submitted the proposal to the NYC Landmarks Preservation. The ticket lobby, grand foyer and other landmark status will not be changed for entrance. After several controversies with previous developers, Xinyuan paid over $50 million for the location in August 2016. The plan was approved by The Landmarks Preservation Commission and the architect firm hired to send the proposal is Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. pic by Xinyuan Realty. Reported 12pm.
