Fireworks complaints goes to 311

Residents of Glen Oaks and Bellerose reported of fireworks by calling 911 claiming gunshots were fired as of Friday. Further investigation resulted of fireworks display. NYPD advises all to call 311 and report fireworks as noise complaints. Since the decriminalization in NYC, fireworks falls under noise complaints and all NYPD can do is check around. However, NYPD reported arrests are made only if someone or business is in possession of fireworks which means a warrant has to be obtained.
