Fire was bad news in Queens today

This morning around 5am, FDNY reported a fire at 149-40 Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing. By 6am, the fire was brought under control and EMS reported no injuries. The fire damaged the home and now all it's left is memory.

This is the same home Nancy Regan, wife of former president Ronald Regan was born.

Another fire took the life of a victim in Far Rockaway.

FDNY reported a fire at a location on 109th Street by 175 Beach around 3:15pm this afternoon.

Firefighters removed a victim from the fire who was declared dead inside. The medical examiner transported the body.

The cause of fire for both locations are under investigation.
