Fire resulted families to shelter in Nassau County

Firefighters are at 35 N Columbus Avenue reporting a basement fire that spreads throughout the building. This is in Freeport, Nassau County. EMS reported injuries. Around 30 people are now without homes. Nassau County is working with Red Cross to relocate all involved from the fire.

The cause of fire is under investigation
