Fire at a local funeral home in Flushing

FDNY reports heavy fire at a local funeral home in Flushing. This is on Northern Blvd by 135th Street. The fire started around 4pm and firefighters are still working on the scene when it started on the second floor now extended throughout.

EMS reported injuries.

The medical examiners are also on the scene assisting with the dead bodies set for the funeral.

One part of Northern Blvd is closed for emergency vehicles.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
