Female suspects are picking up the pace with armed robberies

As of yesterday, police reported 14 female suspects robbed while 18 male suspects in the same crime pattern in Queens.

The latest incident was reported on Liberty Avenue and 173rd Street in Jamaica by a female suspect with a knife.

According to the Mayor's Office, 573 people were arrested with knives this year. The highest ever while last year had 358 arrests with knives. The recent attacks reported the highest in Jackson Heights, Woodside, Ridgewood and Flushing.

Glen Oaks reported 3 armed robberies by female suspects.
