Fatality reported on the Nassau Expressway near the airport

Last night around 1:15am, the NYPD reported a single vehicle accident on the Nassau Expressway with the driver dead. This is by Exit 3 at North Hangar Road near the JFK airport. Police confirmed the driver lost control of his BMW which struck a pole and ejected. The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy. There were no other injuries or vehicles involved in the incident.

The victim's family has been notified.

Highway CIS is continuing with the investigation.
