Fatality on the CIP northbound

Police closed off the Cross Island Parkway northbound by Hempstead Turnpike Exit by the UBS Arena reporting fatality. It happened around 2:30am after a vehicle hit the guardrail losing control and then hit a tree. One male dead and two women in critical condition. All were found unconscious inside the vehicle.

Ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, over 30 vehicles had blown tires on the southbound due to road milling angering drivers all night changing tires.
