Fatal vehicular accident on Union Turnpike

Police have closed off the Union Turnpike at Parsons Blvd in Fresh Meadows reporting fatal accident with one dead. This is from multiple vehicle accident by the Rite-Aid around 3:15am involving two small vehicles with one t-boned. One in custody for DWI. EMS is working on all involved. Union Turnpike eastbound won?t be open for another 5 hours and traffic are rerouted. Ongoing investigation.

Now reporting Union Turnpike westbound is open for traffic.
