FDNY has a new commissioner

No he is not from Queens but Manhattan.

His name is Robert Tucker and he is the 35th Commissioner sworn in today by NYC Mayor.

Tucker was working for FDNY Manhattan Communications Office and then studied to be a lawyer working for the Queens DA's Office under then Richard Brown. Tucker was never a firefighter.

Then joined a company that provides security and janitors becoming the head.

Now as the Commissioner of FDNY, Tucker will oversee the day-to-day administration of the agency’s 17,000 employees and a $2 billion budget.

“Public safety has been my life’s work. I’ve had a long career in the public and private sector and being appointed commissioner of the FDNY is the biggest honor of my life,” said FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker.

In other words, Tucker raised funds for the FDNY Foundation and he is super rich like the DSNY Commissioner.
