Escaped prisoner in Hempstead arrested

Police arrested Anthony Gagliardi, 38 with no known address after he escaped from police vehicle in Hempstead Village. He took off from the location on Franklin Avenue around 3:45pm. He is wanted for shoplifting charges. He is charged with shoplifting and escaping police custody.
