Enhanced driver license required for air travel

Starting October 1, 2020, all citizens of USA will require enhanced driver license to travel by air for domestic routes. This is proof as alternative to passport for airline travel. To obtain the enhanced identification, one must go to the motor vehicle office without exception. The standard fee is between $9 to $13. The flag version of enhanced id as non-driver license will cost $30. This is part of Dept of Homeland's Security Real ID Act which was passed in 2005.
