End of era for New Hyde Park diner

Say hello to new cuisine replacing the long time diner in New Hyde Park. The long time diner on Hillside Avenue across from the funeral home and gas station in New Hyde Park is closing doors for good. It was a fixture in the community for all along with the Omega Diner on the other side. Now this is all a memory.

This is the second diner in the area closing. The last one closed was the diner on Union Turnpike and Lakeville Road now making way for a new building.

The new menu now served is halal food where Arabic comfort meets American diner culture. It will be the new cuisine at the New Hyde Park diner for all to try and enjoy.

It's called Lava Diner.
