Elmont teens busted for stealing a dog for ransom

Ok this has gone too far.

A Pekingese dog was outside playing in Elmont when five naughty teens went into the yard and stole it.

Then using the name tag on the dog, they texted the owner demanding $500 cash by showing the picture holding the dog and the location for meet. The location turned out to be the local school, Gotham Avenue School.

The owner, a 35 year old female, alerted police and when the teens showed up with the dog dreaming of the $500 cash, they were met with cuffs and back seats of the police vehicle.

All were charged with grand larceny and released with a court date on June 13.

The dog was not harmed and was returned to the owner.
