Elmhurst showed a meltdown between two on migrants

The director of La Jornada in Elmhurst was confronted by O'Keefe on why giving stamped residential addresses to migrants from the documents shown in the video. This came after some migrants complained after they were allegedly forced to pay for the addresses in exchange for government programs while others stated they received voter registration forms.

Local residents went to the scene and started recording along with the director during the confrontation.

Back in 2022, La Jornada, the non-profit that operates food pantry was evicted from NYCHA in downtown Flushing

According to NYCHA, the reason was due to health and safety violations.

Since then, the organization has been operating temporarily out of a location in Elmhurst.

The Mayor's Office has not responded along with local elected officials who are all friends with the director of the organization. The director has not responded to the media after several inquiries.
