Early morning heavy fire at a home in Nassau County

Firefighters reported 2nd alarm at a home in Long Beach around 3am. This is on Edwards Blvd at 158 location in Nassau County. The fire started in the basement of a private home and extended to the first floor.

EMS transported the injured to local hospitals.

By 4am, the fire was brought under control.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
