Drive by robberies spiked over the weekend

From Friday to early Monday morning, the NYPD reported drive by robberies went beyond the normal range followed by pursuits.

One of the incidents on Jamaica Avenue and 199 Street where a victim was robbed by a suspect displaying a weapon while crowds were watching has neighbors in fear. The incident was reported on Sunday around 1pm in Hollis.

The most incidents reported in Ridgewood followed by Astoria and then Bellerose.

Braddock Avenue to Hillside Avenue reported several muggings.
