Deputy poop patrol coming soon to NYC

Hi it's officer poop patrol calling for duty coming soon in NYC.

Today, the NYC Council announced a list of bills under process to curb people with dogs who don't pick up afterward. An enforcement task is under work starting with a pilot program coming soon.

After the winter, calls to 311 spiked to over 35% on dog poop all over the sidewalks where no one cleans up due to pride or laziness.

This is all going to fall under SCOOP ACT meaning The Safe and Clean Outdoor Ownership Practices. Big long words to make an impression.

Along with enforcement, more waste bags are set at assigned locations including dog parks, locations to drop poop to compost and awareness of how to have some decency to curb after your dog.

It's a very serious health matter for locals in NYC where anything goes.

Many dog owners are lonely and treat them as children so once the bill is live the aftermath effect is a wait and watch.
