Dead body investigation near LIC

This morning around 7am, calls came in for an unresponsive male in Long Island City found floating on Newtown Creek. This is in the vicinity of Hunters Point Park.

ESU removed the body and the medical examiner transported it to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Detectives are working on the case as of today.

The investigation continues.
