Dead body investigation in the College Point

The NYPD is investigating a dead body found floating on the river in College Point. The incident was reported on Thursday afternoon around 2:30pm when calls came in for the incident. This is by the McNeil Park.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

ESU worked on the scene to recover evidence if any.

EMS stated it's the body of a woman.

Police identified the victim and notified the family.

Detectives are investigating the incident.
