Dead body investigation in Briarwood

The NYPD reported of a dead body found hanging at the local playground. This is by Hoover Manton Playground near the Van Wyck Expressway in Briarwood near Main Street.

The body was discovered by early commuters and alerted 911 around 7am.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

ESU continues to work on evidence search.

Police reported there was no foul play and suicide is the cause according to a family member who came forward.
