Dead body found in a suitcase on Long Island identified

The SCPD reported the identity of a female victim found inside a suitcase in Huntington has been identified.

Seikeya Jones, 31, was reported missing last week and has now been identified as the victim. 

The suitcase was discovered behind an apartment complex near 320 Nassau Road. 

Local residents called 911 of foul smell and then the medical examiner arrived.

The medical examiner transported the body for autopsy.

Jones was known to be homeless before her death. A cause of death has not yet been released

Ongoing investigation.
