Dead body found in Hicksville

This morning a walker found a dead body hanging on a tree in Hicksville according to the NCPD. This is on Kuhl Avenue near the local Cantiague Park and West John Street. Another walker around 7am also called 911.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

ESU is working on the evidence search.

Detectives are checking surveillance cameras in the area.

The investigation continues.
