Dead body found in Astoria

Police reported a body of a female victim was found inside a vehicle in Astoria. The vehicle was reported stolen after receiving an alert, police located it on 24th Street and 34th Avenue. This is near the public housing Ravenswood Houses around 2am today. The body was found in the trunk with head injuries. The city's medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Ongoing investigation.
