Crowd went into hiding after stabbing spree in Astoria

On Wednesday around 7pm, police were called to the intersection of 30th Avenue and 30th Street reporting a stabbing resulting from an unprovoked act in Astoria.

People went running for cover during the melee.

The alleged suspect was nabbed shortly after witnesses gave a description to the police.

EMS transported the stabbed victim to a local hospital.

The Queens District Attorney is working on the charges.

The investigation continues.
