Crime is down Mayor reported burglary at Gracie Mansion

The NYPD reported on Wednesday around 4:30am, a suspect was arrested for breaking and entering the Mayor’s residence, Gracie Mansion. Police stated the suspect, male, 20, jumped the fence regardless of the security and then entered inside without any difficulties. Then stole ornaments that were hanging on the Christmas tree.

During the incident, the Mayor was not home.

Shortly, police apprehended the suspect and hauled away to the local precinct.

He has been charged with burglary. The suspect never had any priors.

After arraignment, the suspect posted $5,000 bail and was released with an order of protection not to go to the Mayor’s residence at all.

The Mayor has no comment on this.
