Corona to Jackson Heights was a violent weekend

The NYPD increased patrols from Corona to Jackson Heights after a violent weekend with assaults, stabbings, robberies and multiple rape attempts.

Just after midnight on March 29, a dispute turned into stabbing in the vicinity of 42nd Avenue and National Street. The same day around 7:30pm, a dispute turned into stabbing and police apprehended the suspect shortly.

On March 30th, another dispute turned into stabbing in the vicinity of 111th Street and 49th Avenue between two groups. After midnight, two victims were robbed in the vicinity of 35th Avenue and 94th Street.

Police also confirmed there were multiple reports of victims followed by suspects in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue near 74th Street and two came forth of sexual allegations.

Local residents are alarmed and say crime is out of control but due to election time, the elected officials deny such incidents.
