Cops busted MS 13 gang member for Flushing fire

Police arrested Melvin Gongora, 20, a member of MS-13 gang and charged with arson, attempted murder and slew of other charges. FDNY were called to a fire at 147-09 41 Avenue in Flushing on Monday, June 4 around 2am to an abandoned building with two squatters inside. Both are men, 29 and 48 who were taken to hospitals in critical condition and they were also part of the MS-13 gang. The heavy fire also caused injuries to more than 10 firefighters. Fire marshal reported a flammable liquid was used to start the fire. Further investigation reported Gongora who also squatted in the building was seen on surveillance camera across taking off before the fire.
