Constant fights and arguments leads to identity verification in New Hyde Park

Officials at the New Hyde Park's Michael J. Nuzzi Field removed basketball hoops from the pole stands until September after complaints of fights and arguments over teens playing in the court. As of now, the hoops will remain with official's office until all residents of New Hyde Park who wants to play basketball will have to register with Village Hall located at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and New Hyde Park Road to obtain permission. Residents were complaining of non-New Hyde Park residents using the court and causing ruckus.
