Congestion pricing for all in NYC

After launching congestion pricing for NYC yellow taxis and ride shares on Saturday, February 2, NYS Governor's office confirmed the same plan will apply to all drivers. A date of launch has not been announced.

The current plan is yellow cabs cost an extra $2.50 and ride share apps from Uber, Juno, Lyfts to others cost $2.75 for services in Manhattan below 96 Street.

The plan was originally scheduled to launch in January 1, 2019 but lawsuit delayed until the order was lifted. However, the lawsuit is now pending appeal filed by group of drivers.

The surcharge plan expected to generate $400 million per year to fix MTA including NYC subways.
