Commercial and residential burglaries in northeast Queens

The NYPD reported one sector shows commercial and the other one with residential burglaries. Glen Oaks to Bellerose reported 18 commercial burglaries mainly on Union Turnpike and Little Neck Parkway vicinity while residential incidents from Little Neck to Douglaston.

As of January 1, local retailers are on alert with night time burglaries where cash and other items were taken after breaking and entry incidents. The other incidents are vehicle thefts mainly in Glen Oaks continue to increase.

As for the residential burglaries, police say most of the incidents occurred in the daytime in the vicinity of Little Neck Parkway from Horace Harding Expressway to Northern Blvd.

As of today, commercial burglaries are higher than residential targets in NYC. Local retailers must set up high tech security and other measures to deter burglary suspects.

Local residents are advised to stay alert.
