Coming soon from the greatest city with new charges for outdoor dining use

This was the entire intention to collect more money by the city.

The NYC’s Mayor announced the outdoor dining is permanent if a business choose so after the City Council voted in April 2021 and will soon introduce new guidelines for all restaurants that are using them. An exploratory committee is drafting the guidelines while meeting with local elected and community boards.

They came to Queens on Monday and the Queens Borough Board voted against the new plan. The next dates are for the rest of the boroughs.

One major setup will be mandatory for temporary structure so it’s moveable when snow plough trucks are coming or gas lines are to be replaced. The best part is outdoor movable structures will have to pay a fee due to land tax which is way more than parking vehicles. Also, the materials the structure is made of, land space and utility services allowed.
