Come visit pudu at Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Today, the Queens Zoo at Flushing Meadows Corona Park announced a new addition. It's an itty bitty tiny pudu fawn that weighs only 2 pounds. The maximum growth is not the same as a regular deer which was born on June 21. The maximum weight is around 15 to 20 pounds when it reaches adult stage. They are usually found in South America especially in Argentina and Chile.

The new fawn will be in the same area as the parents.

As of 2017, the Queens Zoo bred four fawns from 2012 to 2017 and continue to increase them.

Also, Brooklyn Zoo has two of them.

The zoo is open to the public and part of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
