On Wednesday and Thursday, there was talks around College Point community meetings of a homeless shelter planned at 127-03 20th Avenue. 

The Dept of Homeless Service has send the location to the mayor's office for review pending approval. 

The four story building was on the market last year for $12.5 million dollars. 

Although the plan is still in the early stage, residents and local politicians are gearing for protest. 

At the same time, DHS submitted their proposals to other locations around Queens but won't disclose those information as of yet.
