Christmas Day turned tragedy for a family in St Albans

The NYPD is investigating a hit and run in St Albans where a woman died of her injuries. The incident was reported on December 25 around 9:30pm. This is at the intersection of 158th Street and 111th Avenue.

The woman was heading to a local store when she was struck by two vehicles and both took off from the scene. Police stated the first vehicle didn’t stop after the incident and possibly the second vehicle didn’t see it later.

The victim’s son rushed to the scene. EMS transported the victim but died at the local hospital.

Cops are actively working on the case and advising any witnesses to come forward to help with the case.

The investigation continues.
