Child struck by vehicle in Bayside

Police closed 211 Street by 46th Avenue reporting a child struck by vehicle. This is in Bayside. The 12 year old is taken to hospital with broken bone. The driver remains on the scene and is cooperating with the police. Ongoing investigation.

Now reporting this happened during school drop off at the four way stop sign intersection. A witness stated the driver failed to stop. One of the teacher came to rescue and alerted police.
