Chateaugay man charged with burglary 3rd degree

On June 5, 2026, members of the New York State Police charged Thomas Q. Ryan, 33, of Chateaugay, with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief, and Driving While Intoxicated.

On June 5, 2026, at approximately 5:46 a.m., troopers responded to Nashville Road in the town of Chateaugay for a reported burglary complaint. An investigation determined that an individual had unlawfully entered a garage and damaged a mailbox on the property. After reviewing surveillance footage, troopers obtained a detailed description of the suspect.

While investigating the incident and speaking with the property owner, troopers observed a male operating a lawn mower on the roadway near the residence who matched the description of the individual seen in the surveillance footage.
