Chain snatching continue to rise in Queens

Police reported chain snatching is on the rise in Queens.

The latest incident reported today around 10am in the vicinity of 11th Street and Borden Avenue in Long Island City. Police described the suspects as males, Hispanics, on a moped.

Last week, Roosevelt Avenue within Woodside to Jackson Heights reported multiple victims of robberies from suspects riding mopeds.

Police are advising locals to stay alert and not wear any jewels for safety.
