Central Islip is on high alert after suspect search

Police are in Central Islip reporting a prisoner broke out of the local court during process. Local schools in the area are on lock down.

This is on Carleton Avenue courthouse. in Suffolk County.

Police say the suspect on the hunt is male, black now in the vicinity after escaped. More cops are enroute to the scene.

EMS is checking on other civilians in the court for injuries.

Ongoing investigation.

Update - The suspect is in custody after manhunt.
