Carjacking suspect arrested in Dix Hills after chase from Manhattan

Police have arrested a suspect for carjacking. The incident was reported on July 22 around 7pm when a NYC Access a Ride vehicle was stolen in front of Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. A worker alerted 911 and chase followed on LIE from Midtown Tunnel, then Northern State Parkway until the vehicle was stopped in Dix Hills. The male, 27 was taken into custody and transported to Manhattan by NYPD. Charges are pending.
