Carjacking investigation on the VWE

The NYPD reported a carjacking incident on the Van Wyck Expressway northbound service road near the Atlantic Avenue Exit. This is in the vicinity of South Richmond Hill and the incident occurred around 7am on July 14.

Police say four suspects, males, black while displaying a weapon targeted a driver with a 2025 BMW sedan. One of the suspects pushed out the driver victim and then took off with the vehicle toward the northbound.

EMS treated the victim on the scene.

So far no arrests.
